Do you store my customer info?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Close the tab and it's gone. I don't have a database of your jobs, your customers, or your prices.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The whole tool is mobile-first. You can generate and send a quote from a customer's driveway.

Can I customize the packages and prices?

Yes. Pre-fill common packages (basic wash, interior detail, paint correction, ceramic coating) or type your own line items.

Can I save quotes and reuse them?

Not in the free version. This is the #1 feature I'm working on next — drop your email above if you want it.

Can I email the quote directly to customers?

Not yet — download the PDF and send it from your own email or texts for now. Direct sending is on the roadmap.

Free Mobile Detailing Quote Generator

The short version

DetailQuote is a free, client-side quote builder. The quote form, live preview, and PDF download all run entirely in your browser. We do not store your quotes, your customers' information, your logo, your pricing, or any other content you enter into the form on our servers.

The only personal information we ever receive is an email address — and only if you voluntarily submit one through the "Notify me" early-access form.

"We," "us," and "DetailQuote" refer to BrightSteps Digital LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, located in Pickerington, Ohio 43147. You can reach us at contact@mydetailquote.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

Early-access email (optional). If you submit your email through the "Notify me" form on the landing page, we record your email address and the timestamp of the submission. That is the only thing we store about you.

Information collected automatically

Anonymous analytics via Vercel Analytics — aggregate page views, referring URL, approximate country, device type, and which pages/buttons are interacted with. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect IP addresses or any information that identifies you personally.
Bot-challenge signals via Cloudflare Turnstile when you submit the "Notify me" form. Cloudflare receives a short-lived token and basic request metadata (such as your IP address) solely to distinguish humans from automated traffic. Cloudflare does not use this to track you across sites.
Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for operational and security purposes (e.g. IP address, user-agent, timestamps). These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

What we do NOT collect

Your customers' names, phone numbers, vehicle information, or addresses
The line items, prices, taxes, or totals in any quote
Your business name, logo, or contact details
Any payment information (no payments are processed in v1)
Tracking cookies or advertising identifiers

How we use what we collect

Early-access email: solely to email you when the Pro version of DetailQuote becomes available. We do not use it for marketing, newsletters, or any other purpose, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
Analytics: to understand which pages and features people use so we can improve the product.
Bot-challenge signals: to prevent spam and abuse of the email endpoint.

Browser storage (localStorage)

To save you from re-typing, the tool uses your browser's localStorage to remember a small amount of business information (business name, phone number, and email). Your logo is not stored — upload it again each session. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We rely on the following providers to operate DetailQuote. Each receives only the minimum data required for the function described.

Vercel — website hosting and standard request logs.
Vercel Analytics — anonymous, cookieless analytics.
Cloudflare — Turnstile bot protection on the email form.
Resend — transactional email delivery (used to notify the site owner when someone joins the early-access list).
Google (Google Sheets / Apps Script) — storage of the early-access email list.

How long we keep your data

Early-access emails: held until the Pro version of DetailQuote launches (or we decide not to launch it), at which point the list is deleted.
Analytics data: retained according to Vercel Analytics' default retention policy.
Server logs: retained briefly by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes.

Your choices and rights

Ask us to delete your email from the early-access list
Correct an email address you submitted

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (including California), you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We will honour valid requests without charge. Because we deliberately collect almost nothing, most requests resolve to "delete my email" — which we are happy to do on request.

Children

DetailQuote is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted an email to us, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

DetailQuote is hosted in the United States. If you use the site from outside the United States, any information you submit will be transferred to, and processed in, the United States.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the small amount of information we do collect. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but because we intentionally minimise what is collected, the blast radius of any incident is small.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the landing page.
